UPDATE: In-Person Worship July 7, 2020

UPDATE on Delay to Returning to In-Person Worship July 7, 2020

Dear Friends and family of Patterson Community Church,
As things begin to open back up in this time of Covid-19 here in New York it is tempting to try and put all the pieces of our lives back in place as soon as possible. However, as we have seen in other states who have either opened back up too soon or have not taken the professional health recommendations seriously, the virus is capable of surging and roaring back with a vengeance. Recent outbreaks in Westchester County have shown that it can be very easily and very quickly reintroduced into our area.
In my last letter, I outlined the steps that would be required when we are able to return to in-person worship however I did not give a projected date. And unfortunately, that is still the case as the latest science is warning of greater possibility in closed spaces than previously thought was the case. Therefore, while we will continue to weigh all of the risks and benefits to being back together, we are still unable to give a hard and fast date as to when we will be comfortable doing so. As mentioned before, our first responsibility is to the health and safety of all of our members and friends, and if we need to take some time away in order to be sure we can safely get back together, then that is what we are going to do. We will continue to post any changes to our plan or schedule as they occur. For now, however, please stay safe and be well
Sincerely, david frost – pastor
