Our Mission

Patterson Community Church, a welcoming, open, and inclusive congregation located in the heart of Patterson New York.  The small diverse community is dedicated to reaching out with a message of grace and compassion, devoted to sharing the belief that the Good News of Jesus Christ sought to teach us foremost of the loving and all-forgiving nature of God.  Open to all who are searching, all who are in need, and all who dwell in the questions that never seem to have the right answers.  Come spend some time with us and experience the warm and generous community that is Patterson Community Church.

Donate

Here at Patterson Community Church we take our call to be a presence of grace and a force for good within our community very seriously. Won't you help us help others? If you can, take a moment to join with us in this work of real goodness. You can help by donating goods or volunteer time to our food pantry or thrift shop, or purchasing our locally grown produce from the seasonal farm stand. We also hold fundraisers and community events (such as chicken BBQ or performances by our local musicians). You can also support us financially as we seek to ensure that this outreach to our local community continues to bless all who are touched by it. Blessings and thank you.

Who We Are

The Patterson Community Church is a true community ministry that sees its mission as much inside the walls of the church as outside of them in the community.  The congregation is warm, welcoming, inclusive, and open to people of all backgrounds.  The Food Pantry provides an assortment of food and supplies to those in need within the surrounding community and the Blue Door Thrift Shop is patronized by many including those looking for a great buy but as well as those who truly benefit from having a source of inexpensive gently used clothing and housewares.  Formally a part of the PCUSA, Patterson Community Church is a member of the Hudson River Presbytery.

Our Pastor

David Frost has been serving as the church pastor since early 2009.  Prior to accepting the pastorate he was involved in both Youth and Music Ministry at the church since 1978.  His father, Rev. James Frost served the church from 1966 until his retirement in 1991.  David received his Master of Divinity Degree from New York Theological Seminary in the spring of 2009 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Eisenhower College in 1977.

Church History
